About the role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of financial and administrative tasks. Your duties will include reviewing and verifying accounting documents as well as maintaining accurate records of various accounting areas. Additionally, you will be expected to engage in accounting operations and related calculations to support the chief accountant on a daily basis.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a good understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
In this role, you will
- Assist with daily accounting tasks, including payroll calculations
- Maintain internal accounts and perform closing activities on a regular basis
- Handle communication and requests sent to mailboxes and other internal systems
- Execute other accounting tasks in collaboration with senior colleagues
- Provide assistance in the preparation of periodic accounts and financial reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely and accurate month closing
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of work experience in the field of accounting
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- Good knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Deep sense of ownership
- Critical thinking and willingness to solve problems
- Positive attitude towards fast changing environment
- Good command of English verbally and in writing
- Good understanding of Lithuanian Financial Reporting Standards, experience with International Financial Reporting Standards – huge advantage
- Experience with tax regulations and tax-related questions – a beneficial skill.
