About the role

We are looking for a strategic and experienced CFO to work closely with our founders and the rest of the executive team. You will be responsible for shaping & delivering our business’s vision and strategic financial plans as we expand in existing & new markets. This role will play an integral part in leading Ovoko into its next stage of growth providing you with an opportunity to build finance and accounting departments at Ovoko.

In this role, you will

  • Oversee all financial processes, primarily: budgeting, auditing, forecasting & reporting
  • Support the accounting team in financial reporting incl. year-end and audit procedures
  • Provide financial strategy recommendations to our CEO & COO and the executive team
  • Lead, mentor and empower our finance & accounting team members
  • Identify the need and initiate new internal processes and controls as the organisation grows
  • Prepare and analyse company’s financial statements & manage liquidity and cash flows

What we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience working in the finance, accounting or similar career field
  • Proven track record in managing finance & accounting teams at the size of 3+ people
  • Good knowledge in financial accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP), corporate finance and general knowledge of taxation (VAT, CIT)
  • Exceptional analytical skills with cost-benefit principal embedded in your decision making
  • Strong structured communication to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a fast growing startup environment would be a massive advantage
